I was embarrassed by my smile because the dental work I received before coming to Dr. Sands was substandard. I had crowns fall off regularly and my teeth didn't match in color shade or symmetry. Dr. Sands suggested a smile makeover, and I couldn't be happier with the results. And it's much more than just the smile, even eating became much easier. It's been five years and I'm still getting compliments, like the woman from work that introduced me to her husband then whispered to him, "He's the one with the nice teeth."   This is one of the best decisions I’ve made. I was asked by Dr. Sands to provide a reference to his skills and am happy to do so.  I met Dr. Sands several years ago at a time when I wanted to have a “smile upgrade”.  I had previously had experiences with other dentists over the past 30 years which boarded on the “unsafactory to outright negligence”, to “adequate and decent”. But throughout that time I never once felt that I had a practitioner that could perform the art of good dental care with the results of a true craftsman.   After meeting with Dr. Sands (as a result of a referral from a very prestigious dental lab)-there was little question in my mind that he was the type of person who would not only practice dentistry in a very ethical way, but would do so with a good manner, and at the highest levels of care and professionalism.  I recognized the value of his sincere approach to my needs, to the point if a crown did not pass his stringent standards it would be sent back to the lab for re-fabrication.   

Dr. Sands was the perfect blend of artist and physician.  The results were no less than transformational!  He assumed the mantle of his profession in the best of all ways.  He was tireless in making certain the work was completed in a thorough fashion.  He brought every detail of the experience to my attention, he listened to my needs, asked key questions, and took charge of the process in the most remarkable way.  He delivered a quality product, and I couldn’t have been happier. 

Since that experience I have stayed in touch with Dr. Sands and now my son is one of his clients.

Dr. Sands clearly excels in the practice of dentistry.  His efforts have always exceeded the norm, his honesty is refreshing, and his pragmatic approach to the task at hand, I believe, saves everyone time and money.

There is no doubt in my mind that any relationship you might structure with Dr. Sands regarding your oral health care would be a beneficial one.  There is no one I would recommend more. 

My Daughter Melanie referred Dr. Sands to me. She had a bad experience with a dentist years before and was totally terrified with the thought of ever having to go to another one. A co-worker told her about Dr. Sands and she took a chance. After her appointment, she assured me that he was the person I should go to, knowing I had the same fears about dentists.

I can say that my fear of dentists has diminished. My first visit, he took the time to talk to me, he is very personable and I felt at ease. After my examination, he thoroughly explained his findings and suggestions. He let me make the decisions on what action to take, he gave me choices.

In the past 10 years or so, I actually enjoy going to his office, the staff is very friendly, and I actually feel welcome there. His work is excellent, I have never had a problem with the work he has done. Once on a Friday evening I broke a tooth eating an apple and he met me at his office first thing on a Saturday morning. That is what I call going above and beyond. I would recommend Dr. Sands to everyone especially those who have had a bad experience with a dentist.
